Slovak Fashion Night 2017
Great presentation evening of the Slovak culture, folklore and modern arts in New York.

The Slovak Fashion Night is an original project that has become the most important presentation event for the Slovak culture and arts on the American continent. The 12th year will take place during this years' September New York Fashion Week as a part of the Couture Fashion Week in Crowne Plaza Times Square in Manhattan. The event was initiated by the +421 Foundation in cooperation with the General Consulate of the Slovak Republic in New York. It is aimed at introducing Slovakia in the centre of global trade, finance and fashion industry in an attractive and modern form.
The event is a chance for young artist, creators and designers who have courage, refuse to give in to artistic stereotypes and enrich individual genres of arts and culture by their creative ideas not only in Slovakia but are also interested to catch attention on the large international forum in the centre of global action such as New York.
At the SFN 2017, the talented Slovak artists and fashion designers will be introduced: the winner of the "Young Talent" contest, Veronika Kopálová, in connection with jewellery by Matúš Kiss, will present her collection titled "How I Feel It". Laura Sporerová would like to lift the New York audience from their chairs by an alternative visual creation and design for young people. Her show will be full of shocking and innovative elements. The artist Martina Múdra, with her new fashion brand called Plezuro will definitely catch attention of the global fashion experts with a specially prepared collection inspired by theatric and opera creations. The extravagant models will surely be a feast for every eye.
